Overview of the advantages of large ABS sheets

ABS blister material is a new material in the sheet industry. The full name is acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymer sheet and is available in beige, black and transparent large ABS blister sheets, which are mainly used in industries such as architectural models, parts for the food industry, the refrigerator and refrigeration industry, the electrical and electronic sector, parts for the phase-moulded electronics industry, hand-plate production and pharmaceuticals.

So, what are the advantages of this ABS sheet? Let me give you a brief summary.

Firstly. ABS sheet has excellent impact strength, stain resistance, excellent chemical and electrical insulation properties, good corrosion resistance, dimensional stability, suitable for blister processing, high rigidity, high mechanical strength, low water absorption, non-toxic and tasteless, simple connection, heat resistance, deformation resistance, low temperature impact toughness and is a hard, non-scratching, non-deforming solid material. Traditional ABS sheet will not be very white, but the toughness is good it can be cut with a board cutter or punched with a mould.

Second: ABS sheet has a heat deflection temperature of 93, and the heat deflection temperature of the product can be increased by about 10 after annealing treatment. ABS also has a certain toughness at -40 and can be used in the temperature range of 40 to 100.

ABS sheet has excellent mechanical properties and can be used at very low temperatures; it is wear resistant and also oil resistant and can be used for medium load and high speed bearings. the weather resistance of ABS is higher than PP and PC but lower than PA and POM, its bending strength and compression strength is not as good as plastic. the mechanical properties of ABS are greatly affected by temperature.

IV: ABS sheets are unaffected by inorganic salts, water, alkalis and various acids, but are soluble in ketones, aldehydes and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Stress and cracking can occur if corroded by glacial acetic acid and vegetable oils.ABS has poor weather resistance and is susceptible to degradation under UV light. If used outdoors for 6 months, its impact strength will drop by half.

ABS has good mechanical properties not only in terms of toughness, hardness and stiffness balance, but also good dimensional stability, surface gloss, low temperature resistance, colouring properties and processing fluency. The excellent properties and cost effectiveness make ABS the choice for large-scale blister processing.
