Vacuum Forming for Special Vehicle Interiors
ABS vacuum forming is ideal for customizing interiors of special vehicles like RVs, ambulances, and high-speed trains. Using ABS sheets (1-12 mm thick), the process heats the material to 325-350°F, molds it with a vacuum, and creates precise components (±0.1 mm accuracy) for dashboards, panels, and more. Other suitable materials for this thermoforming process include polycarbonate (PC) for enhanced impact resistance, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for cost-effective flexibility, and polyethylene (PE) for lightweight applications, all commonly used for vehicle body plastics.
This method suits RVs (storage bins), ambulances (hygienic cabinetry), trains (lightweight trims), and business vehicles (sleek door panels).
